Why take the 275 Challenge?
Because we are a year into a life- and world-changing pandemic. Because you care about the LGBTQ community. Because we are still fighting for a cure for AIDS. Because LGBTQ people continue to be disproportionately burdened by inadequate access to affirming health care and housing options, and are targets of hate crimes. Because trans women of color are being murdered at epidemic rates. Because Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and Asian people in America are dying of COVID-19 at higher rates due to systemic inequities. Because now, more than ever, we are relying on each other to make it through. Because you are ready to make a difference.
And why is it for you? Well, because we need you. Because every single person can make a difference. There is no fundraising minimum and you have total flexibility in choosing your 275 Challenge. Simply put, it’s the chance to directly help the LGBTQ community, from anywhere in the world, with hundreds of other people!

Support the work of New York City’s LGBT Community Center—we need you!
In the event that it becomes clear that the public health situation will allow for large gatherings, The Center staff will make a decision regarding the planning of a one-day Ride experience and/or closing ceremony based out of the NYC metro area. This one-day event will be held on the closing day of the 275 Challenge on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
What are you waiting for? Take The Challenge.
You can be part of the movement whether you’re in New York, Chicago, London, or Tokyo. There’s no registration fee and no fundraising minimum, so it’s as simple as signing up to show that you’re committed to making sure The Center meets the needs of those relying on us.
